Becoming a Trainee Coach at Riverside Equestrian Center
What do you need?
- You need to be dedicated, motivated and fit have a love of animals and looking to have a career with horses.
- As Riverside is aiming to produce coaches and riders of the highest standard it is a requirement that you meet a minimum riding standard before you are accepted into the training scheme.
- You need to be willing to learn and accept challenges.
- You must have a current driver’s license and a means of transport.
- You must have a current first aid certificate.
What will you have to do?
- You will be working and training full time on a shift basis a Riverside.
- You will be involved and trained in the day to day management of a professionally run riding school, first class adjistment center and elite competition stable.
- You will be trained and involved in taking group and private lessons for beginner to intermediate level riders.
- You will be involved and trained in the riding of riding school and privately owned horses.
- You will have to undertake the theory components of the sponsored coach training via a written correspondence coarse.
What will you get?

- You will have your correspondence course paid for and all practical components taught to you at the highest standard.
- Through your sponsored coach training at Riverside, you will be able to obtain the following Qualifications.
- Certificate 111 and 1V in Horsemanship and Riding.
- Australian Horse Riding Center level 1 Equestrian coach.
- All Components of the Horsemanship and non jumping sections of EFA Level 1.
- You will get regular coaching on your own or a school horse by an EFA level 11 Dressage Coach who is currently a member of the QLD A Squad and has coached many riders to State and National squad level.
- You will receive employment opportunities during and at the completion of your sponsored coach training.
- Adjustment and subsidized feed is included for one horse per trainee for the duration of the sponsored coach training.
- You will gain an opportunity to establish a network group in the equestrian industry.
- If you are eligible you are able to apply for TEAS for the duration of the correspondence course.
