Jenny and Gitane on 2010 Australian Dressage Squad !
On the last day of 2009 Jenny opened a letter from the National Federation announcing her selection onto the National Development Squad. There are only 15 riders on the National Squad. See here for details http://www.equestrian.org.au/?Page=447.
Jenny would like to thank the following people for all of their help and support: Joanne Cotton, Leonie Bramall, Traci Manca, Julian Willmore, Mandy Finnimore, Kerry Ireland Joanne Bullock Saxton, all of the girls at Riverside, family and friends. Selection onto a National squad is a huge milestone for Jenny and she not have achieved it without a great support crew.
Jayden on National Youth Development Squad
Jayden and his new horse Furst Freidrich have been named on the National youth Development squad based on their scores obtained in Germany. Jayden and Freddy are about to hit the Dressage scene in Australia so watch out!
Jocelyn Hutton and Wallstrasse on QLD State Dressage Squad
After just one year of full time competing and her first ever nationals competition Jocelyn and Walter have been Selected onto the Qld State Squad. Congratulations to Joc on this fantastic achievement.
Stephanie Poulsen a finalist in the Macdonald’s Young Star awards.
Following her terrific success at the QISEA Nationals in 2009, Stephanie Poulsen has been nominated and made it to the finalists of these prestigious awards. Well done Steph!
New Horses for Riverside riders
Emma Ferguson, Sarah Callis and Charlotte Cullen have all recently bought their first horse. This is a really exciting time in your life and we wish them all the very best with their new equine partners.
First Competition of the season a huge success for Riverside riders!
At Toowoomba 1 star event on the 27th and 28th February the Riverside crew stepped out for the first time to clean up!
Jocelyn Hutton won the Prelim class on Adrienne Simmon’s lovely young horse Wilbur. Emily Gray came fourth in a very tough novice class.
Jayden Brown won the Elementary class on Kate Wilson’s beautiful mare ‘Dallas’ with Jenny and Pete McCluskey’s Fairbanks Jazz Time a very close second.
Places were turned around in the medium with Jenny and Jazz Time taking out first, Jayden and Furst Freidrich coming a close second, both above 70% and Jayden and Dallas coming fourth.
Jazz Time was a little unsure about the judge's table!
Jayden and Freidrich then also won the advanced class.
Stephanie Poulsen came away with a 2nd and a 3rd in the pony classes.
